The trinational cross-border metropolitan region of the Upper Rhine is a unique model at the European level. It was founded in 2010 jointly by the political and institutional actors in the Upper Rhine, but also with science, business and civil society. Its aim is to fully develop the resources of the cross-border area as a unique and attractive economic and living space, to ideally position it in European and international competition and to ensure joint spatial planning for the area.
As part of the European Week of Regions & Cities, a major event on (trans-/cross-border) regional policy and cooperation in the EU organised by the European Committee of Regions and Cities, it is offering an online workshop that will take place on 10 October from 08:50 – 10:20.
