As part of BeamXperience Day, the IREPA LASER and Aerial technology resource centres and the University of Strasbourg’s ICube research laboratory are opening their doors to showcase applied research and disruptive technologies in the field of high-energy beams. These unique visits will take place on 23 September, between 2pm and 6pm. An after-work event will give participants the opportunity to chat and strengthen their network.
What you can expect during this afternoon, which will be held in French and English:
- Immersion in technologies such as: metal additive manufacturing; laser welding; laser erosion machining; advanced photonics; AI applied to laser processes; optical modelling; electron beams; industrial irradiation and lyophilization for bio-industries
- Real-life demonstrations on state-of-the-art equipment
- Sharing experiences with professionals
- Discussions with Icube researchers on the latest technological advances
- Opening up the field of cooperation in R&D

The trinational Upper Rhine region is home to a large number of research establishments, which are the real driving force behind innovation in the Upper Rhine region. Industry of the future, robotics, AI, materials and processes, medical techniques and technologies, clean mobility, circular economy: these are all areas of expertise that are also synonymous with challenges for businesses in the region.

In this series of events, laboratories, institutes and technical platforms in the trinational region are opening their doors to businesses and introducing them to their current research topics, infrastructure and formats for collaboration with their industrial partners.
This series of events is a joint initiative of the Science and Economy Pillars of the Upper Rhine Trinational Metropolitan Region and the members of the Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine2 (KTUR2) network.
