Project selection procedure
Successful Science Offensive (SO) projects must not only meet the eligibility criteria of the Interreg program and the call for projects of the Science Offensive, but they must also provide added value for the transnational Upper Rhine area and correspond with the strategy of the Interreg program. Ultimately, scientific excellence is the guiding theme of the Science Offensive and thus the most serious aspect upon which the selection process is based.
The procedure for the selection of Science Offensive projects is implemented in two stages:
- Interested project consortia submit their SO short-form by 15 April 2016 at the latest.
- Project proposals that meet the eligibility criteria of the Interreg program and the call for projects will be evaluated by scientific experts. Meanwhile, regional partners and Interreg will evaluate the potential added value of projects for the region and the Interreg Upper Rhine program
The Interreg working group devised the short-list of the selected projects during its meeting on 07.07.2016. These selected projects proceeded to the second stage of the selection process.
The selected projects will be prompted to create a complete application for the reception of EU-funding. The application will be assessed by the monitoring committee of the Interreg program in December.
