Call for projects 2024
Building on its success, the initiative is set to be renewed for the period 2021-2027, for which two calls for projects have been planned. Capitalising on the dynamism of cross-border scientific cooperation, the co-financing partners of the Science Offensive now wish to support the transfer and exploitation of public research results and strengthen the positive influence of scientific work on businesses and society, in the service of the economic, social and environmental development of the Trinational Metropolitan Region of the Upper Rhine.
The fifth call for projects from Offensive Sciences was open from 10 October 2024 to 24 January 2025 and focused on knowledge and technology transfer while contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Trinational Metropolitan Region of the Upper Rhine.
Funding was available for cross-border projects in the fields of innovation and smart specialisation strategies in the Upper Rhine region where there are common needs and significant added value to be gained from cross-border cooperation (digitalisation, cybersecurity, quantum science and technology, energy transition, sustainable mobility, agriculture and forestry, bioeconomy, innovative therapies and medical technologies, personalised medicine, materials and processes, social innovation).
This call was aimed in particular at research and transfer operators in the Upper Rhine region, but also at equivalent actors throughout the Grand Est, Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate regions. The projects (French and German partners) receive 75% funding (50% Interreg, 25% via regional partners). Partners from north-western Switzerland receive Swiss funding at federal or cantonal level.
