The joint financing of the eleven-million euro construction project is indeed remarkable: the city of Tuttlingen is the primary builder, though both the city and county are each responsible for 2.2 million euros of the construction costs. 1.82 million euros comes from Germany and 4.55 million from the EU. In the \u201cRegioWin\u201d competition, the IFC emerged the winner out of all of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>By 2018, the four-story IFC building will be constructed on the former Katharinenheim site, which will house laboratories, offices, and presentation rooms. The goal is to link the research of the university more closely with the regional economy. Especially in the field of medical technology, field research innovations will be implemented more rapidly.
