The <a href=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Science Pillar of the Trinational Metropolitan Region<\/a> brings together the <strong>scientific actors of the border region<\/strong>, including <strong>higher education establishments, research entities, ministries and competent territorial authorities<\/strong>. The Science Pillar is an <strong>interface for the support and development of cross-border cooperation<\/strong> as a driving force of the Upper Rhine scientific region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Coordination Office of the Science Pillar,<\/strong> which has existed since 2011, supports the <strong>networking of scientific actors, particularly through the development of cross-border tools<\/strong> which contribute to better <strong>mutual knowledge<\/strong> of the actors on either side of the border and to the <strong>visibility of the Upper Rhine scientific landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"col-md-6  text-default\" >[vc_empty_space height=&#8221;22px&#8221;][vc_empty_space]<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Georhena-300x153.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\"\/>[vc_empty_space]<p>Interactive maps, developed in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georhena.eu\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GeoRhena<\/a>, the geographic information system for the Upper Rhine, are available to researchers, companies and other interested parties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/en\/toolbox\/networking\/interactive-maps\/scientific-landscape\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Higher education institutions and research organisations in the Upper Rhine region<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/en\/toolbox\/networking\/interactive-maps\/scientific-fields\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scientific disciplines in the Upper Rhine<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/en\/toolbox\/networking\/interactive-maps\/scientific-mediation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Actors in scientific mediation and scientific and technical culture in the Upper Rhine<\/a> (only available in French and German)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/science.rmtmo.eu\/en\/toolbox\/networking\/interactive-maps\/technology-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Actors of Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) in the Upper Rhine<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Using filters, users of these maps can identify higher education institutions and research organisations, view the scientific disciplines covered by these institutions and consult their descriptions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Interactive maps for cross-border scientific cooperation in the Upper Rhine regionThe Upper Rhine Trinational Metropolitan Region is characterised by the dynamism, diversity and excellence of its scientific landscape and by a long tradition of cross-border cooperation.
